How to Mark an Entire Gmail Inbox as Read
ii Answers 2
If you go to the "All Mail" view from a figurer (non sure how the mobile version works) and click the 'select all' checkbox, a little notification saying something similar "All 50 conversations on this page are selected. Select all 24,037 conversations in All Post" should appear, where the last part is a link. If you click that link, then click 'Mark every bit Read,' it should take care of the problem.

The offering to select conversations across 100 displays only when I go into "All Postal service" view and then choose "Select all" using the drop down. When I start in any kind of a filtered view, the offering does not brandish for me. So yep, following the instructions to the letter, this worked for me in 2018.

In 2018 I can only display up to 100 Eastward-Mails per page, so I tin't marker them all as read at in one case, but since I only had about 650 unread E-Mails it was doable this way anyway.

Well fifty-fifty afterward you practise this (click on
All mails
and then clickMarker as read
) it still does not mark all as read. And the unread messages come back as soon as I refresh.Jan 17 at 9:18
@user30994 Non sure what's happening here... hard to debug why it'south non marker all of the messages as read, without more information. As to the refresh...the marking-as-read is going to be a fairly bandwidth-intensive operation, so it's possible y'all're refreshing before all of the mark-read instructions accept been sent beyond to the Gmail servers?
